Extended opening hours for exam preparation (Deggendorf)

For the upcoming exam preparation we can offer extended opening hours in the period 08.01. - 14.02.2025.

Mon-Fri: 8.30 am - midnight
Sat/Sun: 8.00 am - midnight

These times may be restricted for technical or personnel reasons. You will be informed as early as possible.

Currently we have to restrict the extended library opening hours of the main library in Deggendorf on some days due to an accident of our library assistant:

On Wednesday, 22.01.25 the library will close at 8.00 pm instead of midnight.
On Saturday, 25.01.2025 the library will close at 6:00 pm instead of midnight.
On Sunday, 02.02.2025 the library will open at 12.00 pm instead of 8.00 am.
On Sunday, 09.02.25 the library will close at 6.00 pm instead of midnight.
On Wednesday, 12.02.25 the library will close at 8.00 pm instead of midnight.

Access:

Access to the library from Monday to Friday from 8.30 pm and from Saturday to Sunday all day is only possible via the entrance at the book return box.

Borrowing of book baskets:

Book baskets are available in the entrance area and can be borrowed at the self-checkout desk. However, they must be returned at the latest before the library closes. The basket can be returned directly to the supervisory staff.

Borrowing cloakroom keys:

Keys can be borrowed from the supervisory staff if a library account is available. Borrowing is possible until the next opening day. They can also be returned directly to the supervisor (alternatively: via the ‘For cloakroom keys’ box). This new regulation is also valid during regular opening hours until further notice.
