Deggendorf Institute of Technology has been successfully offering the MBA (Master of Business Administration) programme since 2002, combining many years of experience in management training with current developments and practice-oriented teaching. The part-time MBA in Project & Innovation Management prepares specialists and managers specifically for the challenges of the modern working world. Through the close integration of theory and practice, participants acquire up-to-date specialist knowledge, modern methodological expertise and valuable leadership skills - directly applicable in their professional environment.

  • Degree: Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Standard period of study: 5 semesters (4 semesters input from lectures, 5th semester Master's thesis)
  • Start: annually in the summer semester
  • Application deadline: 15 January
  • Time required for attendance phases:
    • The course dates take place in a hybrid model in a mixture of presence events and web conferences
    • The lectures take place in block mode max. 1x per month. The blocks are held in 3-day (Thursday to Saturday) and 2-day blocks (Friday and Saturday).
    • Bavarian holidays are lecture-free
  • Including a stay at the International Business School IMC Krems:
    • Key topics: E-marketing, sustainability, design thinking & innovation, entrepreneurship & business management
    • Varied framework programme of workshops and company visits
    • Duration: 1 week in the 3rd semester
       
  • Costs: 5 instalments of €3,600 each (payable per semester) + €82 student union fee + one-off administration fee of €1,150

Target Group

The MBA Project & Innovation Management is aimed at academics with professional experience in business and technical disciplines who wish to develop their leadership and project management skills in a targeted manner.

Whether you have a degree in engineering, computer science or business, the Master's programme provides practical know-how for the successful management of complex projects, strategic innovation processes and the further development of your own career.


Course Content

The MBA combines a sound general management foundation programme with a practice-oriented specialisation in project management. With industry-specific modules and topics, it provides optimal preparation for the diverse requirements of project management in different industries.

The basic competences in the first two semesters are offered jointly for all MBA programmes as a Studium Generale. This creates a cross-industry MBA exchange and the opportunity to network and establish contacts with potential future employers.

Admission requirements

  • Completed first degree at a recognised college/university
  • At least 1 year of work experience (to be submitted by the end of the 2nd semester)
  • Successful completion of the application procedure including an orientation interview
